Victim Identified In Fatal Shooting In Stratford: Police
Police said detectives are actively investigating the homicide.
STRATFORD, CT — The victim of Saturday’s fatal shooting in Stratford has been identified as 43-year-old Paul T. Balzarano, police said in an update on Monday.
Police responded around 11:40 p.m. on April 4 to the 400 block of Woodstock Avenue on the report of a disturbance, according to Capt. Jerry Pinto.
Pinto said the incident has been determined to be a homicide.

Balzarano died as a result of suffering multiple gunshot wounds, according to Pinto.
“This incident is an active investigation being conducted by Detective Bureau personnel,” Pinto wrote in a news release. “Five search warrants have been executed by Detective Bureau personnel. Several more search warrants are pending. The information and evidence obtained is being evaluated to determine its value to the investigation.

“This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public at this time.”
