Victim Identified In Fatal Stratford Crash

STRATFORD, CT — Police have identified the victim in Friday’s fatal crash in Stratford as Dawaan Edwards, 20, of Bridgeport. Edwards was the passenger in a car that crashed into a tree on Lordship Boulevard near Access Road just after midnight on Friday, April 6.

Police said initial investigation indicated that the car was driving west bound on Lordship Boulevard and failed to negotiate a slight curve in the roadway, the drove off the road and struck a tree near the intersection.

The accident is still under investigation, according to police.
