Vote for the Oscars at the Stratford Library
Patrons can borrow nominated films, vote for chance to win theatre tickets.

The Stratford Library is celebrating “Oscar Fever” as it invites its visitors to take part in voting for this year’s Academy Awards. The totally unscientific survey will ask library patrons to cast their own votes as to who they think will win in the major categories when the awards are distributed on February 22nd.
The library is also promoting its collection of Oscar-nominated films that are available to borrow on DVD. These include Best Picture nominees Boyhood and The Grand Budapest Hotel. Library patrons can also find Best Actress nominee Rosamund Pike in Gone Girl as well as Best Foreign Film contender Ida. Other nominated films now on DVD and available for free loan include Begin Again, The Boxtrolls, How To Train Your Dragon 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Judge, Maleficent, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Oscar-nominated DVDs will be a featured display in the Main Lobby of the Stratford Library through Monday, February 23rd. Ballots are available for voting, and voters who select all six top winners will win a pair of tickets to Stratford’s Square One Theatre Company.
