Stratford Man Accused Of Stabbing Mother To Death: Police

Thomas Walker was charged with murder and held on a $1 million bond, Stratford police said.

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man is accused of stabbing his mother to death in her home, according to police.

Thomas Walker, 31, was charged with murder and held on a $1 million bond after Walker went to the Stratford Police Department to report the death, Stratford police said in a news release.

Officers responded about 7 a.m. to the victim's home on Baird Court and found her unresponsive, according to police, who did not name the victim.

Baird Court is a small street off Success Avenue near Stratford’s border with Bridgeport. The Connecticut Post reported the victim’s neighbors awoke Friday morning to the sound of a woman screaming. People in the neighborhood described the victim as nice and sociable, according to the Post.

The investigation is ongoing. Walker is scheduled to appear Monday in court.
