Aladdin at Suffield Middle School

The Suffield Middle School Drama Club's production of "Aladdin" has another show tonight.

Suffield Middle School Drama Club began their two-show engagement of Aladdin on Friday night.

For nearly three months, 60 drama club students, along with the production team, set crew and costume designers, spent countless hours rehearsing and preparing for their performances.

The play takes place in the Arabia of antiquity, at a time when the inside of a dusty lamp was a good place to live. You already know the main characters; Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and the Genie.  The marketplace vendors, villagers and dancers enhance the well-rehearsed performance.

Energy was felt in the aisles and the actors and actresses appeared relaxed and confident with their lines. The story, full of wit and humor, was successfully conveyed to the appreciative audience. The props were well constructed and costumes were colorful.
