• Suffield Budget Hearing Held At Middle School (patch.com) — Suffield residents are being asked to review and comment on a proposed $70.1 million 2026-27 town budget that would raise the mill rate to 24.10. The plan boosts school, government, debt service and capital spending, including funds for road paving, police HVAC and Suffield High School auditorium lighting, with a public hearing at Suffield Middle School followed by a May 6 town meeting vote.    

• Suffield Police Issue Warning As Senior Game Gets Underway (patch.com) — Suffield police are alerting residents that the student-run “Senior Assassins” game involving Suffield High School seniors is now underway around town and may look unusual to bystanders. Officers urge participants to avoid trespassing, unsafe driving, realistic-looking weapons, and alarming behavior, and ask parents to talk with teens about staying safe while playing. Residents are encouraged to call police about truly concerning activity, keeping the game in mind.
