Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Thirty-four Eastern Connecticut State University students are participating in the university's Concert Band this spring 2019 semester. Concert Band is a blend of more than 80 musicians including students, faculty, alumni, local music educators and other talent from the eastern Connecticut area. Among the student musicians is Payton Salvaggio of Suffield, who majors in Pre-Social Work. Salvaggio plays flute.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Five Western New England University students from Suffield were named to the fall 2018 President's List. Students are named to the President's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher. Local honorees and their majors are John Urbanski, Communication/Corporate Communication; Makenzie Ulitsch, Law & Society; Haley Marion, Biomedical Engineering; Michael Urbanski, Mathematical Sciences; and Ledgen Luzny, Mechanical Engineering/Green Engineering.
• Western New England University congratulates more than 700 students, including five from Suffield, named to the fall 2018 Dean's List. Students are named to the Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher. Honorees from Suffield and their majors are Olga Semyanko, Elementary Education/Psychology; Seth Mascaro, Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics; Kurt Murphy, Accounting; Daniel Cushing, Business Analytics and Information Management; and Dominic Blad, Finance.
