Blasting To Begin In Suffield

SUFFIELD, CT — Rock blasting is scheduled to begin Wednesday morning at the Prides Corner property on Mountain Road, according to town officials.

The first blast at 1700 Mountain Road is expected at about 9 a.m. Work will initially take place toward the rear of the property, the town said in a public notice.

Additional blasting will occur intermittently as permitted site work progresses. Blasting will be limited to between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

People living or working nearby may hear loud reports or feel vibrations during the work.

The town plans to post notices on its website and social media accounts each day blasting is scheduled. Officials said the work will be performed under applicable safety requirements.
