Bus Routes, Safety Reminders as Suffield Schools Open

SUFFIELD, CT — Classes for Suffield students begin Wednesday, Aug. 29, and bus routes are available here for all town schools.

• Suffield High School: morning, afternoon
• Suffield Middle School: morning, afternoon
• McAlister Intermediate School: morning, afternoon
• A. Ward Spaulding Elementary School: morning, afternoon

Suffield police have issued a reminder to residents about student safety. A statement on the department's Facebook page reads:

School is back! Our number one (#1) request is remembering bus, pedestrian, and driving safety with school opening this coming Wednesday. Please be extra vigilant! Watch for students walking and/or waiting roadside for school buses. Be mindful of school bus traffic and their frequent stops. Exercise safe driving. Be extra careful to avoid speeding, distracted driving (cell phone use), and other dangerous (and illegal!) behaviors. Suffield Police have begun increased patrols and enforcement in and around our schools and throughout town.
