SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• In honor of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College has named more than 600 students to the Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester. Suffield students on the Dean's List include Gianna Mangiarelli, Colleen McAnaney and Elisa Welch.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Connor Mankouski of Suffield received a bachelor's degree from Lasell College during its 164th commencement ceremony on May 12. The College granted 398 bachelor's and 125 master's degrees. Mankouski majored in Legal Studies.

Nazareth College, Rochester NY

• Nazareth College is proud to announce that Caelie Flanagan of Suffield has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2018 semester. Flanagan is majoring in Musical Theater. A student's grade point average must be at least 3.5 or above, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester in order to be included on the dean's list at Nazareth.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Emma Ryan of West Suffield, a member of the class of 2018 majoring in mechanical engineering, was named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2018 semester. A total of 1,474 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI's spring 2018 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
