Campus Notes - Suffield College Students

SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

College of Our Lady of the Elms, Chicopee MA

• Caitlin Linsenbigler and Joseph Sutton, both of Suffield, were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

• Louise Wilson, of Suffield, a communication major, has made the President's List at Coastal Carolina University for the fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the President's List for high academic achievement, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• In honor of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College has named nearly 700 students to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. Three of the honorees are from Suffield: Gianna Mangiarelli, Colleen McAnaney and Elisa Welch. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Grove City College, Grove City PA

• Erin McGann, a junior major at Grove City College, has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. Erin is a 2015 graduate of Suffield High School and is the daughter of John and Melanie McGann from West Suffield. Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Three students from Suffield have been named to the fall 2017 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester. Local honorees are Shawn Menard, Kaylee Pugliese and Aimee Slatkavitz.

University of Sheffield, Sheffield England

• Samantha Siegal, a graduate of the Suffield High School class of 2012, was awarded the Master of Arts degree in International Political Communication from The University of Sheffield (England) at ceremonies held Jan. 12. In 2016, she earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Vermont.

University of St. Joseph, West Hartford CT

• Erin Buckingham, Danielle Jordan and Holly Vynar, all of Suffield, were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester.
