Campus Notes - Suffield College Students

SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable achievements for college students from Suffield, as reported by readMedia Newswire.

Goodwin College, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin College announces that 975 students, including two from Suffield, achieved Dean's List status for the fall 2016 session. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify. Suffield honorees are Rafael Diaz and Danielle Moores.

Grove City College, Grove City PA

• Kellen McGann, a senior PreK-4 Elementary Education major at Grove City College, has been named to the Dean's List with Distinction for the fall 2016 semester. Kellen is a 2013 graduate of Suffield High School and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McGann (Melanie) from West Suffield. Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

Hofstra University, Hempstead NY

• Alexa Marquis of Suffield excelled during the fall 2016 semester at Hofstra University, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Dean's List.

Husson University, Bangor ME

• Suffield resident Zachary Basile has been named to Husson University's Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. Basile is a senior who is currently enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program. Students who make the Dean's List must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.60 to 3.79 during the period.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Select students have been named to the fall 2016 Dean's List at Roger Williams University. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester. Suffield students are Thomas Mitchell and Aimee Slatkavitz.
