American International College, Springfield MA

• American International College in Springfield, MA has named 440 students to the spring 2017 Dean's List. Dean's List students are full-time students with a grade point average between 3.3 and 4.0. Suffield students named to the Dean's List are Shiane Wilkins, Chelsea Gervais and Hannah Consolini.

Assumption College, Worcester MA

• Patrick Coombs, of Suffield, was one of 653 graduates to receive a degree during Assumption College's 100th Commencement exercises on Sunday, May 14, held at the DCU Center in downtown Worcester, MA, in which speaker John L. Allen, Jr., editor of Crux, a publication that focuses on news of the Vatican and Catholic Church, delivered the Commencement address. Coombs received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Belmont University, Nashville TN

• Victoria LaTeano of Suffield qualified for the spring 2017 Dean's List at Belmont University. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C. Approximately 30 percent of Belmont's 7,700 students qualified for the spring 2017 Dean's List.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University's annual graduation ceremony was held at the XL Center in Hartford on May 16, with more than 12,000 family members and friends cheering on their sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, as 1,180 undergraduates and 58 graduate students received their diplomas. Zachary Baskin of West Suffield graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and Katherine Butler of Suffield graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

Emerson College, Boston MA

• A pair of local residents have been named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. The requirement to make the Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher. Local honorees are Shea Mccusker, a Marketing Communications major of West Suffield, and Timothy Vindigni, a Media Arts Production major of Suffield.

Keene State College, Keene NH

• 1,245 students have been named to the spring 2017 dean's list at Keene State College, including Jared Basile and Cecily Macari of Suffield.

University of New Hampshire, Durham NH

• Tyler Dromgold of Suffield graduated from the University of New Hampshire during the Commencement Ceremony held Saturday, May 20, 2017, on the Durham, NH campus. He earned a BSF degree in Forestry.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Emma Ryan of West Suffield, a member of the class of 2018 majoring in mechanical engineering, was named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2017 semester. A total of 1,319 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI's spring 2017 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
