Bryant University, Smithfield RI

• Bryant University extends congratulations to the Suffield students who have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester: Miles Manning, class of 2021, and Matthew Stafford, class of 2020.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY

• The Liberty League has announced its weekly award winners in golf and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Austin Rupp of Suffield has been selected as the Performer of the Week for the third time this season. At the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore College at the Ballston Spa Country Club, Rupp, a freshman, finished second in a field of 81 with a two-day total of +4, 146. He shot a 73 (+2) both days, including a Sunday round in which he had two birdies on the front nine and one on the back, going out with a +1, 36 and coming in with a +1, 37. Rupp, who helped Rensselaer to a third place finish among the 13 schools, was second in the tournament on the par 4s, shooting +2, and seventh on the par-5s at -2. He finished nine strokes behind medalist Chris Bornhorst of Babson College, who was -5 (137) for the tournament.
