Candy Making at the Suffield Parks and Recreation Department Was a Hit!
After many new Cupcake Decorating, Cake Decorating and parent child programs that we launched last year, our new program Candy Making has been a huge hit. In last evenings class, participants in the Suffield Parks and Recreation Department's Candy Making program learned to decorate like pros taught by Suffield resident Sandy Nelson, former award winning Hall of Fame Certified Wilton Method Decorating Instructor. Participants learned how to melt, mold, color, flavor, marbleize, fill, and layer chocolate and took home beautiful candies including Nonpareils, Caramel Delights/Turtles, Clusters, Truffles, and Bark that taste as good as they look! This was the perfect class to take before the Winter Holidays and Valentine’s Day. These homemade delicious candy makes thoughtful presents!
