Community Update

SUFFIELD,
Connecticut (July 23, 2013)  Edward
G. McAnaney, Suffield’s First Selectman, formally launched his bid for
re-election today.  In launching
his campaign among family and well wishers at his party’s nominating caucus,
McAnaney cited his accomplishments in his first term and his vision for the
community as reasons for his choosing to run for re-election.

“My efforts as
First Selectman have been centered on the taxpayer.  I have had a strong focus on controlling spending while
maintaining town services, including a superb school system.  Suffield is a great town with a proud
tradition of New England prudence when it comes to government, a tradition
which I have continued.  I wish to
complete the  projects already
underway and begin new projects to make Suffield a better place to live and
work,” he said

McAnaney’s
