Give me an S. Give me a U, Give me an F, Give me another F, How about an I, an E an L and give me a D. What does that spell? Suffield!!!-What-?? Suffield!!! Say it again, and say it loud and proud!!! The enthusiastic sounds of Cheers and an outstanding Cheerleading Demo by the participants in the Spring Suffield Parks and Recreation Department that was held in the McAlister School on Wed. June 5th were terrific. Happy parents, relatives and friends that came to visit on the last day of class were all smiles when they saw what the children have been learning in our program. We had an excellent turnout! The children have been having a blast and have been doing so well while they have been practicing the fundamentals of cheerleading and tumbling. The participants have learned basic and intermediate skills that were taught by the talented World Cup Polaris All Stars Staff-Nickolas Negron and Emma Forcum based on proper progressions for tumbling, stunting, motions, jumps, cheers and dances, in a safe and age appropriate manner. The goal and focus of all of our Parks and Recreation programs is safety, fun all while learning valuable skills and drills then putting them into practice. Many thanks to all the parents that came out yesterday to enjoy the demo. We hope that your child had a fantastic time at the program.
