SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Marist College, Poughkeepsie NY

  • Three students from Suffield have been named to the Marist College Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. Jacob Pallotti is a member of the Class of 2019 and is majoring in Business Administration. Emily Masi is a member of the Class of 2021 and is majoring in Business Administration. Caitlin Little is a member of the Class of 2021 and is majoring in Economics.

Plymouth State University, Plymouth NH

  • Erynn Cole of West Suffield has been named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the spring 2018 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. Cole is a History, Philosophy & Social Studies Education major at Plymouth State.

University of Scranton, Scranton PA

  • Timothy A. Dodds of Suffield was among more than 1,650 students named to The University of Scranton's Dean's List for the 2018 spring semester. The Dean's List recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the Dean's List. He also was among the 15 members of the university's class of 2018 committed to post-graduation long-term service projects with nonprofit organizations and underserved populations throughout the country and internationally. Their service begins this summer and includes programs run by the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. Dodds graduated as a psychology and philosophy major at the Jesuit university, and will serve with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.
