College Notes - Suffield Students

SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Thirty-four Eastern Connecticut State University students are participating in the university's Concert Band this spring 2019 semester. Concert Band is a blend of more than 80 musicians including students, faculty, alumni, local music educators and other talent from the eastern Connecticut area. Among the student musicians is Payton Salvaggio of Suffield, who majors in Pre-Social Work. Salvaggio plays flute.

Manchester Community College, Manchester CT

• Dena Chance of Suffield was named to the part-time President's List at MCC for the fall 2018 semester. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester - and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC - are eligible for the Part-Time President’s List.
• Suffield residents Heba Abidallah, Christine Boudreau and Whitney Sarmiento made the MCC Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester. Full-time students enrolled in 12 credits or more and who have earned a GPA of 3.4 with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in that semester are eligible for the Dean’s List. Part-time students are eligible for recognition with the same criteria when they have completed 12 or more credits of work with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
