Connecticut Landmarks Hosts Mothers Day Tea
Historic Phelps-Hatheway House and Garden in Suffield Hosts Event on May 13th

Come celebrate spring, Mother’s Day and the beautiful lilacs at the Phelps-Hatheway House & Garden! On Sunday, May 13th from 2 to 3:30 pm, honor your mother or other special person in your life with this unique experience in one of Connecticut’s most lovely settings. A tour of the house and gardens will conclude with a traditional tea service featuring savory sandwiches, scones with homemade lemon curd and jam, a festive cake, and many pots of tea served by Mrs. Phelps! Learn about the significant social and political roles that tea played during the Revolutionary War, and the years that followed.
Young guests are welcome to don a period costume for the afternoon. Admission is $25 per adult, $15 for children. Registration is required as space is limited; please register at (860) 668-0055 orphelps.hatheway@ctlandmarks.org.
