Connecticut Unemployment Rate Continues To Decline

This is the sixth straight month the state has added more jobs.

There’s some good news on the unemployment front in Connecticut. The state added jobs for the sixth straight month, including 2,400 jobs for July, according to numerous media outlets.

Connecticut’s unemployment rate dropped by one tenth of a percent to 6.6 percent. Last year at this time the state’s unemployment rate was 7.9 percent.

Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy told Fox CT that his administration continues to grow jobs.

While the news is good, Connecticut’s ranking is still below the national unemployment average of 6.2 percent.
