Consultants Hired to Aid Search for New Suffield Police Chief

Consultants from Massachusetts will assist in the search for a new Suffield police chief, the Journal Inquirer reported.

The Suffield Police Commission will work with Public Safety Consultants, a Shrewsbury firm, at a cost of about $12,500.

The paper said commission chairman Kevin Armata wants a new chief hired by the end of 2015.

Interim Chief Anthony Riello will leave at the end of this year. He came on board last month upon the retirement of embattled Chief Michael Manzi.
