She moved with her family to East Longmeadow in 1959. She loved gardening and birds (could name just about any plant, tree, and bird), skiing and golf. She was active in Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in East Longmeadow, and a charter member of Twin Hills C.C. in Longmeadow for 40 years, where she was the 1997 President’s Cup Champion.
While at Suffield by the River she was active in the Garden Club, Company Store, Library and she ran the Bingo games. In fact, just days before her passing, surrounded by her family she announced the thing she would miss most was….Bingo. Go figure.
Her family would like to thank the wonderful staff and all her friends at Suffield, for the love and care they showed her over the years, and most especially over the past couple of weeks.
She was predeceased by her parents, her 3 sisters and 1 brother, and her beloved husband Jack in 2007.
She leaves her son John M. Dempsey of Boulder, CO; daughter Karen M. Dempsey of Longmont, CO; son Charles B. Dempsey and his wife Sharon of East Granby, CT; and 5 grandchildren Daniel, Gabe, Megan, Shannon and Eileen.
