Eileen (Fitzgerald) Riordan, 76; High School English Teacher Who Lived in Suffield

Eileen (Fitzgerald) Riordan, 76, of Suffield, formally of Longmeadow, beloved wife of Robert A. Riordan passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015.

Born on January 26, 1939; in Springfield, MA; daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine (McElligot) Fitzgerald.

Eileen was a graduate of Emmanuel College, and earned her Master’s degree at Westfield State University and taught English at a couple of area high schools. Robert and Eileen lived in Longmeadow for over 40 years where their raised their three loving children, before moving to Suffield, CT about 10 years ago.

Eileen is survived by her loving husband Robert A Riordan of Suffield, one son Robert A Riordan Jr., of Worcester, MA; two daughters Katherine M. Riordan of Concord, NC; and Julie M. Riordan-Goncalves and her Husband Luis M. Goncalves, of Roosevelt, NJ; and one grandchild Lucinda Goncalves. She was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services are to be announced.
