Esther C. Symonds, 85; Mother, Sister of Suffield Residents
Mrs. Symonds lived in West Suffield most of her life.

Esther C. Symonds, 85, of East Granby, beloved wife of the late Wesley J. Symonds passed away Monday, March 16, 2015.
Born June 2, 1929 in West Suffield daughter of the late Robert and Meita (McEwan) Colson, she lived in West Suffield most of her life.

She was employed by Hathaway & Steane for many years before working at Pioneer Dairy before retiring. After retirement she and her husband moved to Florida for 20 years before moving to East Granby to be closer to their family. Esther enjoyed camping and going to the beach.
She is survived by a son, Mark Waterman of West Suffield; three daughters, Donna Perry of Enfield, Bonney Durocher of Enfield, Karen Oliver and her husband Mark of East Granby; two brothers, Charles Colson of Southwick, MA, Robert Colson and his wife Joan of Suffield; three sisters, Elizabeth Maksymiw of Windsor Locks, Ruth Oltsch and her husband Roger of West Suffield, Shirley Hinckley of Enfield; two step-daughters; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Howard and Wesley Colson and a daughter, Heather Waterman.
Services were held at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt. 159), Suffield. Burial will be in West Suffield Cemetery in the spring.
