Free Donut on National Donut Day

Suffield residents can get a free donut with any drink purchase at the local Dunkin' Donuts.

Friday is National Donut Day. Luckily, Suffield residents can get in on the celebration of this doughy delight.

Today, participating Dunkin’ Donuts nationwide will offer guests a free donut of their choice (while supplies last) with the purchase of a beverage (excluding bottled cooler beverages).

The Huffington Post reports that National Donut Day was originally established by the Salvation Army to honor women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.
