Hastings Farm Tour Coming in June
There will be plenty to see and do when Hastings Farm opens its doors for visitors on June 9.

June is National Dairy Month!
The Hartford County Farm Bureau in cooperation with presents an open farm tour and agriculture day on June 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This event enables you to meet the people that produce your food and provide local fresh milk, yogurt and cheese products at their best! Guided tours of the farm will be held throughout the day.
Come and experience an in-depth account of the lifestyle of farmers and see how a farm is run on a day-to-day basis. Come see the tractors, trucks and equipment needed to farm and, of course, the variety of animals that live on the farm. Meet the cows, calves, chickens, goats and pigs that tend to be the stars of the show.

A display of honey bees, Farm Bureau information, Connecticut agriculture information and additional local farm vendors featuring jams, jelly, honey, maple syrup, goat cheese, goat’s milk soaps, lotions, herb plants, flowers and hanging plants will also be available.

Hastings Farm (860-668-7524) produces milk, chocolate milk, yogurt, and cheese on the farm. Fresh eggs and beef are also available. The store is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The farm is located at 472 Hill Street, Suffield. It is approximately one mile from the turn off of Mountain Road (Route 168). The farm can be reached at 860-668-7524.
