Jordan T. Nissopoulos, 89; World War II Veteran; Hamilton Standard Retiree

Calling hours for the West Suffield resident will be held Thursday, June 18 with the funeral scheduled for Friday, June 19.

Jordan T. Nissopoulos, 89, of West Suffield, husband of the late Dorothy (Topa) Nissopoulos, entered into eternal peace Monday, June 15, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Springfield, MA, a son of the late Tryhon and Despina (Zabaria)) Nissopoulos.

Jordan had lived in West Suffield since 1962 and was a WW II U.S. Navy Veteran. He was retired from Hamilton Standard after 37 years. Jordan was a member of Christ Life Fellowship Church in South Hadley, MA. He enjoyed gardening and working around his home, but most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Roger and Michael Nissopoulos of West Suffield; a sister, Cleo Nissopoulos of East Longmeadow, MA, and several special nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, he was predeceased a daughter, Judy Nissopoulos, two brothers, and a sister.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 19th at Leete-Stevens followed by committal at West Suffield Cemetery.
