Joseph V. Caldeira Jr., 87; Father of West Suffield Resident

Joseph V. Caldeira Jr., 87, of Bloomfield, beloved husband of Nancy A. (Gough) Caldeira passed away at home surrounded by his loving family Thursday, July 16, 2015.
Born April 23, 1928 in Hartford, son of the late Joseph V. Caldeira, Sr. and Mary (Borges) Caldeira, he had lived in Bloomfield most his life.

Before retiring he worked for many construction companies operating a bulldozer. He enjoyed acting with Mark Twain Masquers and did woodworking and photography in his free time.
Besides his wife Nancy, he is survived by his three children, Glenda Salonia of Berlin, Arleen Carrasquillo and her husband Frank of Manchester, Joseph V. Caldeira III of West Suffield; a brother, Armand Caldeira of Simsbury; two sisters, Mary Chellstorp of Windsor, Josephine Reis of Vernon; five grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Matthew, Christian, Andrew; four great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Constantine and Lucien Caldeira.
His family will receive friends Monday, July 20, from 4-7 PM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 21, at 10 AM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home.
