Joseph W. Bycenski, 83; Owned Gay Tool and Machine Co. in Suffield

Joseph Walter Bycenski, 83, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Dorothy (Gaj) Bycenski passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 18, 1932 in Windsor Locks son of the late Joseph and Catherine Bycenski he lived in Windsor Locks most of his life.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, after the war he owned and operated Gay Tool & Machine Co. of Suffield for over 50 years. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Suffield, a member of the American Legion Gensi-Viola Post No. 36 and he enjoyed polka dancing and bowling.
Besides his wife Dorothy, he is survived by two sons, Stephen Bycenski and Gary Bycenski both of Windsor Locks; two daughters, Suzanne Bycenski of Enfield, Donna Ridley and her husband William of Suffield; a brother, Robert Bycenski of Ludlow, MA; three sisters, Sue Pikel of Windsor Locks, Stella Seeley of Boston, MA, Janet Elinksas of Suffield; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Ringwalt, Joao Barbosa, Christopher and Samantha Ridley, Robert, Daniel and Celina Bycenski; two great-grandchildren, Anthony King and Derek Ringwalt.

He was predeceased by three brothers, John, Stanley and William Bycenski and two sisters, Millie Cammilleri and Carrie Durnakowski.
His family will receive friends Tuesday, July 7, from 5 to 8 PM at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt. 159), Suffield. Family and friends may gather Wednesday, July 8, 9:15 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 AM at St, Joseph Church, Suffield. Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association CT Chapter, 200 Executive Blvd., Southington, CT 06489-1058.
