Kent Memorial Library Is Closed Monday, Tuesday

In preparation for the move from its 50 No. Main St. building to the facility on Ffyler Place, the Kent Memorial Library is closed Monday, Oct. 20 and Tuesday, Oct. 21.

The library will be open on Wednesday, Oct, 22 from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and host two Halloween events for children.

The Halloween Costume Party for children ages 2 to 5 will be held at 10:30 a.m. During the 45-minute party children will hear a Halloween story, play Halloween games, make Halloween crafts, decorate a pumpkin, munch on apples, doughnuts and apple cider. A Halloween party for children in grades K – 4 will be held at 3:45 p.m. This one-hour carnival event will give children the opportunity to create Halloween crafts, decorate a trick-or treat bag, play Halloween games, munch on apples, doughnuts and apple cider. There will even be some Halloween tricks along with treats! To register call the library at (860) 668-3896.

The library will reopen at 61 Ffyler Pl. no later than Monday, Nov. 3. Call the library 860-668-3896 to get a firm date.

Directions to the new facility — at the traffic light on Mountain Road, turn left (south) rather than right, into the CVS Plaza. The Library will be in the back, to the right in the arc-roofed building.
