Lucky's Pub Finds Fortune in Suffield

Lucky’s is 1,000 square feet of small and cozy. Not too dim but not too bright. Dark wood and tin ceilings say classic pub. A variety of 14 draught beers on tap. Six TVs and a National Football League Sports television package. 

According to owner Jeffrey Adams, "There's nothing else like this around."

"It's no frills but you can come in and get good beer and watch a game," said manager Justin Eisenhaure. "Everybody's welcome here. So far, it's been a really good crowd."

Lucky’s doesn’t have a kitchen, but patrons are accustomed to placing carryout orders at the adjacent Best Choice Pizza and bringing over the plates of wings and pizza.

Adams says Lucky's, which opens at noon, even has a lunch crowd. Customers grab lunch next door, bring it over and watch a game.

Adams and co-owner Daniel Dineen previously owned the Shamrock Cafe across the street. But ten years ago they sold it to concentrate on his other bars: Mickey Finn's in Somers and the Cloverleaf Cafe in Enfield.

Still, they wanted to return to Suffield. 

"Suffield is a great town," said Adams. "The people are real supportive. That's why we came back here." 

Both are from Longmeadow, MA and bought the building (which now has a Zumba studio as well as the pizza place) last year and renovated the final piece into Lucky's.
