Mack Captures Decisive Victory in Democratic Primary
She will challenge incumbent first selectman Ed McAnaney in November.

First-time political candidate Melissa Mack garnered 72 percent of the vote to easily win the Suffield Democratic primary for first selectman Wednesday.
Mack, a Suffield business owner, attorney and mother of two who had been endorsed by the Suffield Democratic Town Committee at a July 28 caucus, collected 461 votes to 179 for challenger Tom Frenaye.
Frenaye, a former first selectman and current Democratic town chairman, had been defeated at his party’s caucus, but gathered enough signatures to petition for a primary.
