Man Beaten After Interrupting Car Burglary

Three suspects left behind a vehicle that had been stolen in Suffield and fled the scene of the Windsor Locks crime, police say.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - A local resident sustained serious injuries after he and another person interrupted a car burglary in progress early Thursday morning.

According to police, around 1:11 a.m., two people residing on Dexter Road interrupted three masked individuals breaking into a car on their property. A physical altercation ensued, and one of the masked persons beat one of the residents.

The victim suffered serious injuries to his face, mouth, and teeth, police said.

The suspects left behind a Subaru bearing Connecticut registration plate 418ZOP, which was determined to be stolen out of Suffield. The assailants fled in another vehicle which was waiting nearby, police said.
