SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable achievements for college students from Suffield, as reported by readMedia Newswire.

Bucknell University, Lewisburg PA

• Brennan Tierney, Class of 2020, from Suffield, was named to the dean's list at Bucknell University during the spring semester of the 2016-17 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Nicole Pare of Suffield graduated on May 15, 2017, during Emmanuel College's 95th Commencement Exercises on its campus in Boston. Pare earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies & Elementary Education during the ceremony.

Merrimack College, North Andover MA

• James Clark of West Suffield recently graduated from Merrimack College during the 67th Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 21. Clark received a BSBA in Business Administration.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Springfield College recently held its commencement weekend. At the graduate commencement, 658 master's degrees, six certificates of advanced graduate study, 15 Doctor of Philosophy degrees, 34 Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees, and five Doctor of Psychology degrees were awarded. At the undergraduate commencement, 873 bachelor's degrees were awarded for a two-day total of 1591 degrees. Mark Risbridger of Suffield earned a master's of business administration degree in Business Administration, and Alea Tardy of Suffield earned a master's of social work degree in Social Work.
• Springfield College has named five students from Suffield to the dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2017 term. They are Ewa Lojewska, Margaret Ellithorpe, Brent Baskin, Diara Vicedomini and Sabrina Glemboski. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.
