More College Accomplishments By Suffield Students: Spring 2023

SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted in the coming weeks.

American International College, Springfield MA

• Abigail Carney and Ryan Levis, both of Suffield, were among 495 students named to the Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester. Dean's List students attend full-time and have achieved a 3.3 to 4.0 GPA.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• More than 300 Eastern Connecticut State University students were recognized for scholarly excellence at the conclusion of the spring 2023 semester. Given by academic departments across the University, the recognitions included induction into more than a dozen academic honor societies, scholarship awards and departmental distinctions. Among those honored was Morgan Bacon of Suffield, a junior who majors in health sciences. Bacon received the Outstanding Junior Award at the Health Sciences Awards and Honors Society Induction on April 19 in the J. Eugene Smith Library.

Hofstra University, Hempstead NY

• Gianna Guzzo of Suffield achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the spring 2023 semester, earning a spot on the Provost's List at Hofstra University. Gianna's major is dance.

Husson University, Bangor ME

• West Suffield resident Charlotte Smith has been named to Husson University's President's List for the spring 2023 semester. During the spring semester, Smith was enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in psychology/Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling program. Students who make the President's List must be enrolled as an undergraduate student, carry a full-time load of 12 credit hours, complete all attempted courses in the time allotted for the semester, and achieve a 3.80 to 4.0 semester grade-point average.

Lasell University, Newton MA

• Isabella Mills of Suffield graduated from Lasell University with a Bachelor of Science in exercise science. Graduates were recognized at the University's 169th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 13.
