Mysterious Man in Suffield Turns Out to be Good News

SUFFIELD, CT — The mysterious man in the mysterious car driving around local streets turned out to be a mild-mannered newspaper delivery guy, but police were complimenting neighbors on their awareness for calling in an unfamiliar vehicle.

Police had received several complaints over the past several days about the vehicle driving around several neighborhoods in the afternoons, Suffield Police Department spokesman Capt. Christopher McKee said. Police began driving around to investigate and found the man, who had just begun his new route, McKee said.

Though it turned out to be nothing criminal, McKee complimented residents for their awareness.

"We suggest that resident call us if they saw something and the residents saw something," he said. "The guy was pout under a lot of scrutiny, but things were OK after the investigation. We like when residents call us."
