- A total of 2,054 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI's spring 2023 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects. Honorees from Suffield are Peter Danise, class of 2026, majoring in electrical and computer engineering, and Jack Shanks, class of 2026, majoring in mechanical engineering.
- All students at Worcester Polytechnic Institute are required to complete a senior thesis as part of the university's distinctive project-based educational experience called the Major Qualifying Project (MQP), one that is usually team-based and often focuses on very specific issues or needs of an organization that has partnered with the university to sponsor the student's work. A signature element of the innovative undergraduate experience at WPI, project-based learning offers students the opportunity to apply their scientific and technical knowledge to real problems that affect the quality of people's lives-an experience that changes the student and their world. Two students from Suffield recently completed their MQP: Kush Shah, majoring in computer science, class of 2023, completed the project titled Multi-Layered Control Flow Integrity in Web Applications, and Matthew Lovoi, majoring in mechanical engineering, class of 2023, completed the project titled Small Jet Engine Test Fixture, Design and Fabrication.
