...before the USA Luge Olympic team is announced.  Emily still has a chance, although her status hinges on whether her two teammates are able to finish in the top 9 women sliders in next week's World Cup race in Park City, Utah.  If they are outside the top 9, there will be a final race-off on Saturday night to determine the final Olympic team member.  It's "winner take all" regardless of how well the sliders did throughout the season - and Emily will be one of the sliders.   Lori Riley of The Hartford Courant describes the situation in her recent article - and highlights one of Emily's teammates (Tucker West) who is also from CT (Ridgefield).
