Opening Day Looms for Suffield High School Teams
Wildcat squads play their initial regular season contests beginning Friday.
SUFFIELD, CT — High school sports practices have been ongoing for nearly two weeks and preseason scrimmages are in full swing, but the real deal begins Friday - opening day of the regular season for many varsity teams.
Here are the scheduled opening contests for varsity teams at Suffield High School. For a complete season schedule of Wildcat varsity, JV and freshman teams, visit the CIAC web site.
- field hockey - Friday, 9/7, vs. Windsor, 3:45 p.m.
- girls soccer - Friday, 9/7, at Rockville, 3:45 p.m.
- girls volleyball - Friday, 9/7, vs. Canton, 6:15 p.m.
- boys soccer - Friday, 9/7, vs. Rockville, 6:30 p.m.
- girls swimming - Tuesday, 9/11, at Haddam-Killingworth, 4 p.m.
- cross country - Wednesday, 9/12, at East Windsor, 4:15 p.m.
- football - Saturday, 9/15, vs. Granby, 1 p.m.
