Parking Ban Now in Effect in Suffield
Cars found parked on the street are subject to towing at the owner's expense.

SUFFIELD, CT — A winter snowstorm parking ban has been put into effect throughout the town of Suffield, as of 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
Residents and others are advised not to park on town streets until 11 p.m., pursuant to a town ordinance, police said.
The ban prohibits vehicles from being parked on all public streets and roads, as well as all private roads on which the town of Suffield performs snow removal operations.

Vehicles found to be parked in violation impeding snow removal operations are subject to being towed at the owner’s expense.
Police issued a statement saying, "By not parking your vehicles on town roadways during this snowstorm, you assist the Suffield Department of Public Works to more efficiently clear our roads, making travel safer. In addition, emergency vehicles such as police, fire, and emergency medical services can respond to emergencies more quickly if parked cars are not impeding the snow covered roads."
