The Parks and Recreation Summer Cupcake Decorating was a Smash!

The Suffield Parks and Recreation Department's and Fun Cupcake Decorating Program Has Been a Hit!
After four successful session of our new "Cupcake Decorating" that was launched this year, our new program has been a huge hit. In last night's class, participants in the Suffield Parks and Recreation Department's Summer Cupcake Decorating Made Easy class learned to decorate like pros! Our instructor Sandy Nelson, is a former award winning Hall of Fame Certified Wilton Method Decorating Instructor that has taught cake decorating classes for over 30 years led this fun and informative new class. The participants learned how to tint icing, fill a decorating bag, fill a cupcake and pipe a variety of decorations, including the popular 1M Swirl and Drop Flowers. At the end of the night, they took home beautiful and deliciously decorated cupcake creations to share with family and friends. Due to the popularity of this program, we will be running another Summer class next Wednesday and have even added on a new program coming up in July for Parents/Caregivers and children to enjoy the fun! Summer Parent/Caregiver and Kids Cupcake Decorating Class-New!

Join us for a family evening of decorating, laughing and sugar! Learn how to make filled cupcakes and buttercream decorations with your little chef.. Parents/caregivers and kids will fill and decorate a dozen of delicious cupcakes using different buttercream icing techniques. Each child will take home a box of their creations to share with family and friends. Kids 7 and up are welcome with a parent/caregiver. This is an introduction to cupcake decorating for beginners taught by Sandy Nelson, former award winning Hall of Fame Certified Wilton Method Decorating Instructor. Sandy has taught cake decorating classes for over 30 years. Sandy’s goal is to make your experience with decorating as easy and enjoyable as possible. Take a break this summer for yourself and family this summer and learn to make some beautiful and delicious creations!! Registration closes on Tuesday, July 9 and/or earlier if enrollment reaches maximum capacity. Limited enrollment.

Fee: $20.00 (additional supplies are necessary to be purchased for this class, please see the info on www.suffieldrec.com when registering) If you are only registering yourself and one child then one set supplies can be shared. If you are registering more than one child, each child will need their own separate supplies.
