If Your Alarm Goes Off In Suffield, Police Want This Info First
Police say registering alarms helps officers reach property owners quickly when systems activate.
SUFFIELD, CT — Residents and business owners in Suffield who have monitored alarm systems are being reminded to register them with the police department so officers can quickly reach someone if an alarm is triggered.
According to a notice from the Town of Suffield, alarm registration allows the Suffield Police Department to maintain key-holder and after-hours contact information for properties in case an alarm activates when the owner or responsible party is not present.
Town officials said having updated contact information can help officers respond more efficiently and resolve alarm activations when residents are away from home or when businesses are closed.
