Police Find Missing Suffield Woman

She had been seen last at her home in Suffield on Dec. 6

SUFFIELD, CT — A 52-year-old missing Suffield woman has been found after extensive efforts by police police lasting late into the Wednesday night and again on Thursday morning, law enforcement officials said.

Police said they received information that Kimberly Saxton was located in the vicinity of Main Street in the Tariffville section of Simsbury.

Officers from Simsbury and Suffield found Saxton at a multi-family residence at 11:41 a.m., police said.

She appeared to be in "satisfactory health," although she displayed "signs of disorientation and confusion," police said.

Saxton was transported by Simsbury Volunteer Ambulance to an area hospital for further care, police said.

Suffield police said that, at no time during the search, was there "any threat or concern to public safety."

Suffield police chief Chief Richard Brown expressed his appreciation for citizen help.

He said, “The outpouring of support by the community to assist Suffield Police in finding Ms. Saxton quickly, serves as another example of how police, in partnership with the community, can best safeguard life and property for our residents.”

Suffield police issued issued a Silver Alert Wednesday for Saxon, who had been seen last at her home in Suffield on Dec. 6. Her vehicle was left at her residence. police said.
