Create your own Skin Cleansers and Get Naturally Healthy and Glowing Skin Workshop (New!) FREE
Do you want to learn how to make your own natural skincare cleaning products and learn more about keeping your skin healthy? Skincare is an important part of your overall health and wellness and taking care of your skin is essential especially during the summer. Join the Parks and Recreation Department and instructor Sarah Kitson from English Rose Beauty for this new interactive and engaging class. In this fun, hands on and informative skincare workshop, you will learn how to make all natural skin cleansers from beneficial fruits and foods, the basics of skin health, lifestyle choices that keep the skin healthy, how and valuable tips about sun safety and SPF and how to create a basic skin care regime for a healthy complexion. Sarah will review several sample recipes for natural healthy skin care/face masks/SPF and keeping your skin healthy and hydrated. Sign up today with family and friends for this fun and interactive workshop. We will be using natural products including bananas, berries, sugar, oatmeal and honey! Get your friends and family together for an evening of fun!
Supplies Needed: Please bring what you currently use for skin care at home in your make up bag, a hair tie, Cotton rounds, Mirror and a face cloth.

Saturday Yoga for Youth and Families at Bruce Park (New)
Start your weekend out right by taking this enjoyable Yoga program that is designed for the whole family. The class will focus balance, flexibility and mindfulness all while getting in a beneficial over all workout. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and bring a water bottle and exercise mat to the program is recommended for children ages 7-17 but parents and adults are also welcome to register. In the event of inclement weather, a decision will be made by 10:00 a.m. and participants will be contacted by the instructor, only severe rain/thunderstorms will cancel. We ask everyone to check their temperature before coming to class and if you have a temperature, over 100 please do not come to class. Please do not come to class if you are feeling ill or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.

Saturday Summer Yoga Sampler (New)
Have you ever wanted to try Yoga and see what it is all about? This class is for you! Take some time for yourself and enjoy all of the benefits of Yoga in a fun and friendly environment. We will practice and enjoy a healthy, strengthening and de-stressing Vinyasa Yoga workout and start the weekend off right! There will be a strong focus on proper alignment and linking movement to one’s breath to ultimately promote flexibility, increase mobility, build strength, balance and relieve stress. All Levels are welcome including beginners. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement, wear a face mask when social distancing is not possible and have a water bottle and a Yoga Mat ready for class.

5.5.5 Summer Race Series

The Suffield Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce a Summer Race Series at Bruce Park, on the High School’s Cross Country course.
Charles Brydges, a Suffield Resident, is organizing the races with the department to improve community wellness while raising funds for Suffield Community Aid.
Each Monday is its own race/activity.
Registration closes online the Wednesday, before each race date and/or earlier if enrollment reaches maximum capacity.
Day of registration also available until 5:55 pm.
