Fitness Lunchtime Challenge (New)

Looking for a fun class that offers great motivation to help you get fit in the New Year? This lunch time strengthening and conditioning class will focus on toning and building lean muscle. No experience necessary as Instructor will accommodate and modify to suit all of your individual needs and fitness levels. Come learn about your muscles, mechanics and improve even further on your strength and cardio. Take a break from the sedentary workday and join us. This class offers a great way to get in shape in the New Year with great motivation while having fun. We will also discuss healthy nutrition and lifestyle as a core component of this class.

Healthy Happy Hour at the “Barre” (Sampler) - NEW

Join in on all the fun and get a great workout in our Barre inspired program. Are you looking for a great program that incorporates Yoga, Pilates and Aerobics in a super fun way? This class is for you! The Barre portion of this class incorporates specific sequencing patterns and isometric movements that target specific muscle groups. This pattern of exercise helps to improve strength, balance, flexibility and posture. The “MIX” portion of this class will add strength training and cardiovascular fitness using dumbbells and other equipment at the studio.

Powerburn Workout

Get an incredible workout in this fun high intensity step class. Class is designed to help build lean muscle while burning tons of fat all while having a blast. It is a total body cardio and strength workout. Combining step, HIIT, and dumbbells, this ultimate thirty-minute workout will get and help keep you in shape. Come get your heart pumping and the calories burning with a personal trainer. Beginners to Advanced are welcome! Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and wear and bring a facemask, water bottle and a Yoga Mat.

Spring Tabata Bootcamp Challenge

You will have a blast in this ultimate calorie burning high intensity class while getting in terrific shape this spring. Tabata is a form of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) that alternates between twenty seconds of intense bursts of work and ten seconds of rest in four-minute rounds. This class will have you burning calories even after you leave class. All fitness levels are welcome. We will be getting a great workout in while social distancing and exercising outside at the beautiful Bruce Park Pavilion. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and wear and bring a facemask, water bottle and a Yoga

Energizing End of Winter/Spring Vinyasa Flow – (NEW 8 week Saturday morning program!)

Keep your fitness New Year’ resolutions with our new energizing Vinyasa yoga flow that will kick start your Saturday morning and inspire you to move through the rest of the weekend with intention and ease. There will be a strong focus on proper alignment and linking movement to one’s breath to ultimately promote flexibility, increase mobility, build strength, balance and relieve stress. This flow will end with a sprinkle of core work and a final relaxation that will leave you ready to take on your day. This practice is a one- hour class and has been designed for all levels-from beginners to seasoned Yogis. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and bring a water bottle and a Yoga Mat ready for class.

Spring Steppers, Walkers, Runners and Strollers

Do you want to get in shape, stay motivated and get some spring back in your step? Are you tired of trying to fit your daily steps in but have excuses of not being able to walk because of lack of time, safety and also not wanting to walk alone? Join our group and make new walking friends and get in shape at the same time. We will go over warming up, fitness walking and have a fun time getting you re-energized for the rest of the day. We will walk rain or shine so please bring proper gear. Even if you can only walk for a half hour, you are encouraged to join the group. Prizes will be awarded to the most dedicated walkers. All ages and abilities welcome including parents with strollers and seniors. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and wear and bring a facemask and water bottle. We ask everyone to check their temperature before coming to class and if you have a temperature, over 100 please do not come to class. Please do not come to class if you are feeling ill or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.

Join our new six-week group workshop where you will learn how to change your mentality around food choices and eating, exercise and well-being through a holistic and healthy approach. Participants will learn factual scientific data about nutritious food choices, water consumption, new recipes, exercise and stress management that will help improve you over all fitness. Based on the book Intuitive Eating by Evelyn Tribole, this program will give you the tools and resources you need for successful weight release and for reaching long-term, life-changing results! Let’s do it together! (This program is for everyone and families are encouraged to register together.)

Hiking Workshop and Hike at Sunrise Park

Join the Suffield Parks and Recreation Department and Reach Your Summit for a one of a kind fun, interactive workshop going over all you need to know about day hiking basics in the Nutmeg state. This workshop will go over important trip planning information, Leave No Trace Principles and concepts of hiking for improved fitness and well-being. Each participant will also receive and updated map of Sunrise Park. Hear stories, learn tips and enjoy a show-n-tell of gear that can help make your day hiking experiences better with, Reach Your Summit guide and owner, Mat Jobin's first-hand experience from guiding groups for over 13 years and tackling solo pursuits and thru hikes. Following the workshop, there will be a short guided hike in beautiful Sunrise Park for all levels and abilities. Please be sure to bring a water, wear proper hiking footwear, bring a face mask for when social distancing is not possible and dress in layers. This is the perfect program to learn more about hiking and gear and to enjoy our beautiful Sunrise Parks.
