Stand Down Event for Veterans Planned
Free transportation for veterans will be provided from Enfield and Suffield for the Sept. 18 event.

A Stand Down event to benefit area veterans will be held at the Connecticut Veterans Home at 287 West Street, Rocky Hill, on Friday, Sept. 18 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Stand Down provides medical screenings, veteran benefit information, legal and motor vehicle assistance, as well as job and educational assistance,” Sen. John Kissel said. “Please spread the word about the event and the free transportation.”
Free transportation for area veterans will be provided at the following locations and times:

· 6:00 a.m. - Dunkin Donuts 155 Hazard Ave/Rt. 190, Enfield
· 6:00 a.m. - Suffield House, 1 Canal Road, Suffield

· 6:15 a.m. - McDonald’s, 97 Elm Street/Brookside Shopping Plaza, Enfield
Transportation will be provided by the Disabled American Veterans.
