Suffield Alumni Hockey Games to Benefit Teen Cancer Patient

Proceeds from Saturday's alumni jamboree will be donated to Charlie's Crease.

SUFFIELD, CT — For the second straight year - on the exact same date - former ice hockey players from the Suffield High School tri-op program will gather at the Enfield Twin Rinks to play a benefit jamboree for a worthy cause.

The initial event on Jan. 6, 2017 brought in nearly $1,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project. This year's beneficiary is Charlie's Crease, named for former Fairfield Ludlowe goaltender Charlie Capalbo, 19, who was diagnosed with a rare form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma last March.

The second annual jamboree is slated for Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018 beginning at 6:10 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, seniors and veterans, and free for ages 12 and under.
