Suffield Car Break-Ins Prompt Police Warning

Police are telling resident to be aware of thieves on the loose.

SUFFIELD, CT — Suffield police are telling residents to lock their cars after a rash of burglaries on Monday night in Suffield Meadows.

Every vehicle that was gone through had unlocked doors, police said. In one circumstance, thieves gained access to a garage, police said.

"Keep in mind if you leave your car unlocked and you have a garage opener in your vehicle you give someone access to your garage too," police said. "Please help us prevent this from continuing by locking your vehicles and removing valuables."
