Suffield Cops Looking for Suspect in Attempted Break-In

Suffield police are investigating an attempted residential burglary that took place on the Fourth of July.

SUFFIELD, CT — Suffield police are investigating an attempted residential burglary that took place on the Fourth of July.

The incident occurred at 10:45 p.m.

Police said the house was unoccupied at the time of the attempt, but images of the suspect were captured through video surveillance equipment.

The suspect appears to be a "light-skinned black or Hispanic male" with a "distinctive right forearm
tattoo," police said.

The suspect also appears to have visible tattoos on his left forearm and the
right side of his neck.

Suffield police are asking anyone who may have seen or heard "anything unusual, no matter how insignificant it may seem" at the time of the incident in the area of Mountain Road near Sheldon Street and the surrounding roads — Taintor Street, Rosewood Drive and Plantation Drive — to contact them at 860-668-3870 or MOtoole@SuffieldCT.gov.
